Everything Conch does
Conch combines end-to-end encrypted messaging, Shore chronological social, communities, games, and optional voice and video — without behavioral advertising profiles or selling personal data.
What is Conch?
Conch is a privacy-first communication and social platform. It brings together end-to-end encrypted messaging, Shore (chronological social), communities, and games on the free Hermit plan, with Shell and Conch+ for voice and video. Conch does not build behavioral advertising profiles or mine activity for targeted advertising.
Private messaging
Conch messaging is built for everyday conversations — direct messages, group chats, voice notes, and file sharing — without behavioral advertising or selling personal data. Core messaging is included on the free Hermit plan.
Shore — chronological social on Conch
Shore is the social side of Conch — a chronological social experience where you follow people and topics intentionally, explore public content in Discover, and share posts without behavioral advertising profiles.
Private social media
Shore is Conch’s private social layer — for people who want to share and follow without behavioral advertising, data selling, or engagement-ranked feeds.
Voice and video calling
Shell adds voice calling and Lounges; Conch+ adds video/camera calling and screen sharing — so you can move from a Shore post or chat to a call without switching apps.
Groups and communities
Conch supports group conversations and community spaces for teams, friends, and shared interests — without turning community posts into an algorithmic competition.
Chronological social feed
Conch shows social posts in the order they were published from accounts and topics you follow. No hidden ranking engine decides what deserves your attention.
End-to-end encryption
Private messages on Conch are end-to-end encrypted by default. Here is what that means in practice — without overselling what any technology can guarantee.
